El Instituto de Historia y Teoría y Praxis de la Arquitectura y la Ciudad (HiTePAC) depende de la Secretaria de Investigación de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
Nace en el 2010 como desprendimiento del Instituto de Estudios del Hábitat (IDEHAB) en el marco de una nueva política de investigación encarada por la Facultad y en respuesta a la complejidad y diversidad que la investigación en el campo de la arquitectura ha asumido en estos años.
